Service Description: The datasets geometry is sourced from the Ecological Districts of New Zealand. It is a final representation of DOCs best estimations of Myrtle Rust risk per Ecological District. The main attribute field is "Risk" - it details the likelihood of the district being effected by Myrtle Rust. It is a 1-5 number score with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest risk. This score is determined from the following datasets, based on decisions by the Myrtle Rust planning manager:NIWA CILO Data - https://gis.niwa.co.nz/arcgis/rest/services/MPI/Climate_Station_Based_Myrtle_Rust_Risk_Points/MapServerMPI Survey data (status = REM or POS) - https://services.arcgis.com/X6pbMkffRhVOzZha/arcgis/rest/services/Myrtle_Rust_2017_Kerikeri_Ground_Survey/FeatureServerDOC Survey data (Confirmed_Status = Positive) OPERATIONAL_DOC_MyrtaceaePCLMonitoringSitesTier 1 monitoring plots sourced from DOC-3156006The dataset is edited in an AGOL application (https://deptconservation.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Editor/index.html?appid=a6f23c1ec8be4021aeea64dc94855653) by users in the DOC AGAOL group "Myrtle Rust - Tier 1 Monitoring Editor Group"Ecological Districts description:Polygon objects representing ecological districts. This information resource comprises a digital dataset of the boundaries on the 1:500,000 published maps of ecological regions and ecological districts of New Zealand, which are part of McEwen (1987) (refer related resources). Ecological regions and districts are subdivisions of New Zealand into contiguous and discrete areas that have relatively homogenous physical (climate, soil, topography, geology) and biological characteristics (including cultural pattern, i.e. land use). Ecological regions are generally an aggregate of adjacent ecological districts with very closely related characteristics. Note that some ecological districts that are very distinct have been given the status of ecological region to emphasis their uniqueness; for example, Tongariro Ecological District is also Tongariro Ecological Region.
